At the heart of our mission for each Pupil is enjoyment, excellent technique and self-discipline.

Our highly-trained and experienced teachers provide fun and quality classes in Ballet, Modern, Tap and Performing Arts for all levels, age
3 to adult. Formed in 1981 and members of the British Ballet Organization, our School’s philosophy is to provide all dance disciplines for all ages and abilities.

All of our teachers are qualified professionals, Bingham School of Dance values education and through our training and continuous professional development alongside our dance qualifications; can deliver a breadth of knowledge, skills and experience to help your child to develop and succeed.

Meet the Team


Megan Nicholson

Megan became the Principal dance teacher in 2021 at Bingham School of Dance and went on to become Principal of Hykeham School of Dance in 2023. Megan has a passion for teaching, enabling each individual pupil to strive to achieve their absolute best and to take pride in their achievements. Her previous teaching roles and education: Assistant Head (Teaching and Learning), Head of Performing Arts (Dance, Drama and Music),Visiting Dance and PE Lecturer, Masters in Education, Post Graduate Certificate of Education with Qualified Teacher Status, Dance degree and British Ballet Teaching Qualification, have allowed her to have a vast breadth of knowledge and this experience has motivated her to encourage and inspire passion in her pupils.

Tuesday Tennant

Tuesday has a degree in Primary Education and holds Early Years Teacher Status. Tuesday leads SENCO coordination at a nursery and so the schools' inclusive aim to encourage ' Dance for All' is important to her. Tuesdays mum, Alison Wallace, was the former Principal at Hykeham School of Dance until her recent retirement in 2023. Tuesday danced at both Bingham and Hykeham School of Dance from an early age. Tuesday is a registered teacher with the BBO. Tuesday lives with her husband Graeme, son Oliver and dog Chester.

Fran Knight

Fran is a qualified Primary School Teacher and has a Theatre-dance teaching Diploma with the BBO. She has attended Bingham School of Dance since the age of 4 and now teaches at the school, specialising in Tap. As a teenager, Fran was an associate at the Urdang Academy, London and whilst studying for her degree, completed the BBO's Advanced 1 and 2 Tap exams.

Eloise Warriner

Eloise has recently passed her Level 4 Dance Teaching Diploma with the British Ballet Organisation (BBO). Eloise is a passionate teacher who always strives for children to succeed.

Izzie is currently studying Education at Bishop Grotesste University, alongside this she is taking her Level 4 Dance Teaching Diploma with the BBO.

Aleesha Husband

Aleesha helps all day on a Saturday and currently helps to teach Mini Tap, Aleesha has a very calming effect with the little ones.

Alison Wallace

Alison lives in Harmston just outside of Lincoln with her husband Paul and son John. Alison was the previous Principal and owner of Hykeham School of Dance. A qualified teacher with the British Ballet Organization, Alison moved to Lincoln after training in the Midlands. Alison runs Hykeham School of Dance and thoroughly enjoys guest teaching at Bingham School of Dance.


Shan Jones

Shan lives with her husband Chris in Bassingham. She has two grownup daughters, Bethan and Megan, Megan has now taken the role of Principal since Shan retired and Bethan teaches the junior ballet classes at the Bingham branch, keeping the business in the family. Shan was the founder of Bingham and Hykeham School of Dance. Shan’s love for dancing started at an early age and never waned through her progression and training in Ballet, Modern and Tap with the British Ballet Organization. Bingham School of Dance was formed by Shan in 1981, with a small class of beginners.
